Uvrier is a peri-urban locality of the commune of Sion in Switzerland located in the canton of Valais.
Administratively, Uvrier depends on its urban center of the city of Sion located 5 kilometers to the west. Its working population is mainly made up of commuters.
Oldly rural, even during the first part of the 20th century, Uvrier was gradually transformed into an urban or peri-urban agglomeration from the end of that same century by progressive sprawl of its agricultural land by single-family homes and small residential buildings.
